Waupun double-dual: The Waupun gymastics team hosted two teams on Thursday’s Parents/Senior Night, going 1-1 as the Warriors’ score of 129.98 beat Oconomoc’s 100.4 and narrowly fell to West Bend West’s 132.95.

Waupun got a great start on vault as Jasmyn Bensley set a school-record with a 9.05, good enough for first place against both teams.

Bensley and Kyra Verheyen both scored 8.85 on beam, which earned first place against Oconomoc and second against West Bend West. The sophomore duo also went 1-2 against Oconomowoc and 2-3 in the floor exercise and all-around against West Bend West, with Bensley’s persona-best 8.85 and 34.15 while Verheyen scored 8.7 and 33.425.

The Warriors are now 2-2 in the conference and travel to West Bend East on Tuesday for their final competition before the conference invitational on Feb. 22.
