The Waupun girls gymnastics team competed in Saturday’s Little Ten Conference meet held at West Bend East, where the Warriors finished fourth out of six teams with a score of 128.175.
Watertown won the meet with a 138.575, followed by West Bend West and West Bend East.
Waupun’s Kyra Verheyen was the team’s top finisher in the all-around, placing 13th with a score of 32.125. She placed 17th in the vault, 13th in the beam, 16th on bars and 13th on floor. Sara Kroeze had the Warriors’ best event finish of the day, taking fourth on beam with a 8.700. She finished 15th in the all-around. Jasmyn Bensley tied for 12th on vault and was 16th in all-around, while Rachel McMahon was 18th in the all-around.
The Warriors head to sectionals at Whitefish Bay next Friday. The top two teams and top five individuals in each event will compete March 7-8 in Wisconsin Rapids at the WIAA State meet.
