Valders Invite: Led by four first-place finishes, the eighth-ranked Warriros finished first overall in the four-team invite.

Waupun finished with 124.55 points, followed by Valders (116.4), Escanaba, Mich. (103.05) and Markesan (93.525).

Kyra Verheyn had two first-place finishes and three second-place finishes to lead the way for the Warriors. Verheyn was first in the floor with a score of 8.775 and all-around with a 32.575, while finishing second in the unevens, beam and vault.

“After a few rough weeks, our gymnasts seem to be putting things back together,” Waupun coach Jane Neevel said. “We had some sickness and a few injuries that had the team digging deep into their lineup.”

Jasmyn Bensley added two first-place finishes in the vault (8.45) and beam (8.85) while finishing second in all-around with a 31.85. Sara Kroeze added fourth-place finishes in the all-around (30.525), the unevens (6.8), floor (7.975) and beam (7.65). Megan Hansen added a fifth place in all-around with a score of 29.125.
