Heritage rallies, but falls short

Heritage came storming back, but could not pick up the win against Delray Beach American Heritage on Friday night, falling 41-28.

American Heritage stormed out to a 34-7 lead in the third quarter, but Heritage scored touchdowns on its next three possessions to pull within 34-28, then forced a punt and drove to the Stallions’ 36-yard line.

But on fourth down, Jaarobi Muezzin intercepted Daeshawn Mills’ pass at the 20. The Stallions then put the game away on Robinson’s 27-yard run with 48 seconds remaining.

Mills, the Panthers’ quarterback, rushed for 141 yards and three touchdowns and added a passing touchdown. Heritage enters the playoffs with a 6-3 mark.
