BATH 56, DANSVILLE 33

BATH – After a gut-wrenching double overtime loss to Fowler in its previous game, Bath rebounded with a 23-point win over Dansville in CMAC play on Wednesday night.

The Bees (2-6, 2-4) raced out to a 16-4 lead after one quarter and then doubled that effort in the second quarter to take a 32-8 halftime lead.

“We’ve been struggling starting games. Weve been digging ourselves some holes,” Bath coach Gabe Sowa said. “Tonight we came out hard. We talked about how we aren’t where we want to be, but we need to keep working well to get to that spot. Tonight, I was impressed because our guys came out and they worked really, really hard.”

Junior guard Ezra Beckwith had 21 points to lead the Bees, who ran well in transition and buried five three-pointers as a team.

“Once we hit a couple shots, we got off to a good beat. Once we get on a roll, we don’t stop,” Beckwith said after hitting four triples. “We’ve struggled a little bit so far, but hopefully this will get us over the top.”

Dylan Moffitt added seven points for Bath. Andrew Hodgson led the Aggies (4-3, 2-2) with 11 points.
