High school golf season starts with CHS victories


The high school golf season got under way Tuesday afternoon with Clarksville High and Rossview boys and girls teams competing against Trigg County in a match at the Links at Novadell in Hopkinsville.

Both Lady Wildcats and Lady Hawks played without a full team available as Clarksville’s Mariah Smith was the low medalist with a 33 Tuesday. Breanna Smith shot a 36 and Cameron Waltman fired a 39. Rossview was led by Monica Pan’s 41.

The Lady Wildcats’ next match is next Wednesday at Country Hills in Henderson while Rossview will travel to Tullahoma Thursday.

On the boys’ side, CHS incoming freshman Logan Reynolds fired a 35 sharing medalist honors with Trigg County’s Carter Sholar. Rossview was led by Carson Cundall’s 41.
