Union-Endicott’s Emily MacKay won three events helping the Tigers edge Maine-Endwell at Tuesday’s Southern Tier Athletic Conference girls track and field meet held at M-E.
MacKay took first in the 800 (2 minutes, 42 seconds), 1,500 (5:11.3) and 3,000 (11:48.6) meter run’s for U-E, which swept the Spartans 96-42 in the girls meet and 80-53 in the boys meet. Teammate Briana Stockdale took first in the long jump and triple jump.
On the boys side, M-E’s Cody Brizzolara ran his second fastest 3,200m ever, clocking in at 9:40.4 and taking first place. Union-Endicott sprinter Sammy Davis won the 100m dash, finishing in 11.3 seconds.
Owego 18, Chenango Forks 7: At Owego, Andrea Zlinsky registered six goals and an assist, and teammate Kaylee Miner scored four goals, helping the Indians cruise to a Section 4 victory.
Jenna Harris and Caitlin Watson added hat tricks for Owego, which led 8-3 at halftime and was never threatened. Hannah Layton finished with two goals and an assist for Chenango Forks.
Horseheads 18, Union-Endicott 4: At Horseheads, Crystal Powers recorded six goals and one assist as the Blue Raiders (7-3) routed U-E in Section 4 play.
Lisa Leska netted a pair of goals for the Tigers.
