High school roundup: Sam Crowley scores game-winner for Seton Catholic Central boys lacrosse

Sam Crowley scored the game-winning goal in overtime as the Seton Catholic Central boys lacrosse team beat host Oneonta 10-9 on Wednesday in a Section 4 Conference game.

The Yellowjackets were able to force overtime with three goals in the fourth quarter, including one on a man-up opportunity. Crowley’s winning goal was after a faceoff win by Seton Catholic Central’s Dan O’Brien.

Crowley tallied a hat trick and one assist and Saints goalie Keyshawn Baker had 15 saves.

Whitney Point 9, Chenango Valley 3: At Whitney Point, the Golden Eagles beat the Warriors in a rain-soaked matchup. Whitney Point scored three consecutive goals to open up the second half and pull away as Jake Lynch lead the way with four points.

Chenango Forks 16, Elmira 1: At Chenango Forks, Cody Lamond scored three goals and two assists for the Blue Devils, while Logan Hall and Brandon Dutcher each recorded hat tricks. Matt Swagler led the defense with 12 saves.

Ithaca 16, Union-Endicott 1: At Union-Endicott, Thomas Moesch and Collin Case each posted hat tricks for Ithaca. Luke Wilbur put up 16 saves for the Tigers but could not stem the Little Red’s attack.

Vestal 12, Binghamton 10: At Vestal, Pat Carlin scored a hat trick to lead the Golden Bears.

Corning 17, Horseheads 3: At Corning, the Hawks easily defeated the Raiders as Spencer Passmore scored five goals and Kyle Grimaldi tallied seven total points to lead Corning (8-3). Horseheads (4-5) was only 1-for-8 on the man-advantage.

Girls Lacrosse

Binghamton 11, Elmira 10: At Binghamton, the Patriots rallied from a 6-3 halftime deficit to defeat Elmira as Molly Martinichio scored four goals and Katie Gaudet tallied six points.
