High School Roundup: Section 4 girls place seventh at state bowling

The Section 4 girls finished seventh and the Section 4 boys placed 10th at the New York State Public High School Athletic Association bowling championships Sunday at Babylon Lanes in Babylon, N.Y.

The girls totaled 5,316 pins over six games. Section 3 won the title with 5,772.

The boys had 5,471 over six games. Champion Section 11 finished with 6,069.

Emily Loucks of Oneonta was the top Section 4 girl at 1,099, a 183.16 average.

The other section 4 girls were Renee Marcyan of Union-Endicott (1,087; 179.66), Temma Comfort of Elmira (1,075; 179.16), Molleigh Malanoski of Thomas Edison (1,033; 172.16), Hailey Blencowe of Corning (1,003; 167.16), and Allyson Stewart of Waverly (923; 153.83).

For the Section 4 boys, Troy Kimble of Windsor led the way at 1,186 for a 197.66 average.

The other Section 4 boys were Mason Beard of Waverly (1,097; 182.83), Connor Joseph of Waverly (1,081; 180.16), Jim Vriesema of Union-Endicott (1,070; 178.33), Ryan Piersimoni of Horseheads (988; 164.66), and Matt Dieg of Elmira Notre Dame (948; 158).
