High School Roundup: Sidney boys edge Unadilla Valley in double overtime

Bill Kozak led all scorers with 28 points to lead Sidney over Unadilla Valley, 76-72, in double overtime in a Midstate Athletic Conference boys basketball game Tuesday night.

The Storm was ahead 54-52 but Kozak was fouled shooting a 3-pointer with 1.2 seconds left in regulation. Kozak knocked down 2 of 3 free throws.

Trailing 63-60, Nick Meno banked in a 3-pointer with four seconds left in the first overtime. Meno finished with 16 points for the Warriors.

In the second extra session, Jordan Constable knocked down six straight free throws to put the game away. Sidney went 9-for-12 from the line in the period.

Wyatt McKee also scored 19 points for Sidney.

David Dufresne had 22 points and 10 rebounds and Nate Shackleton also scored 22 points for UV.
