RICHFIELD, Minn. – The Holy Angels Stars rallied to beat the visiting DeLaSalle Islanders 16-12 Friday night.
The Islanders took an early lead when Billy Hart connected with James King Jr. for a 4-yard touchdown but missed out on the two point conversion. The Stars fought back and tied it up when Anthony Ekholm threw a 39-yard touchdown pass to Greg Knaack but the Holy Angels failed to convert on the extra point. After the Stars took the lead on a field goal, the Islanders went back on top after Hart found Marquise Bridges for a 51-yard strike to give DeLaSalle a 12-9 lead. The Holy Angels marched down the field and capped off the drive with a one yard touchdown run by John Kipper to seal the win.
