CORNELIUS, N.C. — William Amos Hough High School senior forward Luke Maye committed to the University of North Carolina Tuesday, according to 247sports.com.

Maye, a six-foot, seven-inch power forward, also had offers from Clemson, Davidson, Georgia Tech, Notre Dame, and UNC-Charlotte. Luke is the third-overall rated prospect in the state of North Carolina for the class of 2015.

Luke’s father, Mark Maye, was a star quarterback at UNC in the mid-1980s.
