Danielle Voyles beat the buzzer with a 3-pointer from the top of the key as Salem High School surprised the previously unbeaten Braves 43-40 Saturday in a girls’ basketball game at Borden High School.

Kristen Nestor had tied the score at 40-all for Borden (8-1) when she converted a three-point play with 40 seconds remaining.

Alex Davidson and Treasure Hurst scored 12 points each for the Lions (5-8).

Carson Casey had 13 points for Borden.


: Devyn Johnston and Steven Pergola each scored 12 points to lead the Knights (6-3) over the Bulldogs (5-2). Isaac Hibbard scored 15 points and Leondre McBirth and DeAnthony Warren each had 12 for New Albany.* Castle 51, New Albany 46

: Devin Richey scored 24 points and Markus Fleenor added 22 for the visiting Eagles (2-4). Joe Ferree led Lanesville (6-4) with 14 points.* Austin 76, Lanesville 53

: The visiting Patriots (5-1) got 19 points from Devin Merder and 16 from Spenser Minto in their victory over North Harrison (2-4). Austin Nolot scored 15 points to lead the Cougars.* Heritage Hills 75, North Harrison 46

The Rebels (2-9) scored 24 points off 21 turnovers to beat the Cougers (3-4).* South Central 46, Trinity Lutheran 41:

Zack Goodwin scored 17 points and Ben Cunningham 16 for South Central.

: The host Cubs (5-1) got 19 points from Landon Perry and 15 from Carson Wattenburger in their victory over the Lions (2-4). Madison scored 20 points in each of the first two quarters to build an 18-point lead at the half.* Madison 70, Salem 50
