Ithaca senior Ryan Nicholson finished his senior year with his most dominant scholastic performance, capturing four state titles on Saturday at Webster Aquatic Center.
Nicholson won the 50-yard freestyle and 100 butterfly, and was part of the winning 200 medley and 400 freestyle relay teams at the New York State Public High School Athletic Association Swimming and Diving Championships.
Nicholson began the day by helping to break the state record in the 200 medley relay for the second straight day. Senior Faadhil Moheed, senior Noah FrostClapp, Nicholson, and sophomore Francis Schickel finished first in 1:33.83, barely edging the time from a day earlier (1:33.84).

His most dominance performance came in the 100 butterfly. The Duke-bound Nicholson won by more than a second over the second-place finisher (48.14 to 49.37).
Nicholson, Moheed, Kevin Miller, and Schickel finished the day by winning the 400 freestyle relay (3:09.05).
