Izard County completed a three-game sweep over Bradford with the Cougars posting a 60-47 victory over the Eagles on Tuesday night at Bradford.
The Cougars (3-1) were led by junior guard Andrew Walker who poured in 36 points, three rebounds, and three assists. Walker scored 25 of his 36 points in the second half.
The teams were tied 10-10 after one quarter, and Izard County led 19-17 at the half and 41-30 after three quarters. Bradford (6-2) was led by Dalton Armstrong with 20 points.
The Lady Cougars cruised to a 53-40 victory over the Lady Eagles with senior Lauren Jones tossing in 21 points.
Sophomore guard Kennedy Cooper added 13 points for Izard County (2-2), while Bradford (7-1) was led by Karlie Senko with 28 points.
The Lady Cougars led 13-11 after one quarter, 30-18 at the half, and 39-31 after three quarters.
The Junior Lady Cougars defeated the Junior Lady Eagles, 35-29, and were led by Sam King with 20 points. The Junior Lady Cougars (3-1) led 12-5 after one quarter, 24-14 at the half, and 33-22 after three.
