ST. LOUIS PARK, Minn. – Number 13 will never be worn again by a member of the Benilde-St. Margaret’s hockey team. On Saturday, Jack Jablonski’s jersey number was retired in a pre-game ceremony.
“After everything in the last two and a half years, this has to be at the top of the list for me,” said Jablonski, who was paralyzed in a hockey game in the 2011-2012 season. “This means a lot to be a part of this program forever.”
His hope is that when people look at the banner they’re encouraged.
“I want them to realize that nothing can hold you back and to never give up.”
Jablonski helps Benilde-St. Margaret’s as an assistant coach. He will attend his first semester at USC in the Spring.
