Jamboree Gives New B-L Coach A Good Gauge

By

Lexington, SC (WLTX) — The Lexington Wildcat Jamboree gave eight teams a much-needed dress rehearsal and for Batesburg-Leesville, the Panthers used the exhibition game with Chapin to get a gauge on they will perform on Friday nights with the games count in the record books.

The defending Class 2A Division II state champion Panthers are led by new head coach Perry Woolbright. The coach says the transition has been smooth with the help of his staff, but Friday’s appearance in the jamboree was good to see how his players reacted against a new opponent.

Mistakes were there, but Woolbright hopes the good things his players did will give them confidence as they prepare for their season opener against Woodland on August 29.
