Remember Jaren Jackson? Of course you do. The NBA journeyman won a title with the San Antonio after spending 13 years with a variety of different organizations. Now Jackson’s son, Jaren Jackson Jr., is emerging as a top prospect all his own.
Jackson Jr. is a sophomore forward at Park Tudor School in Indianapolis. As noted by our Gannett partner the Indianapolis Star, Jackson Jr. has emerged as one of the top stars for a powerful Park Tudor program, as evidenced most recently in a 48-38 victory against Hamilton Southeast. Here’s how the Star outlined Jackson Jr.’s contribution in the victory:
And most promising of all may be 6-8 sophomore Jaren Jackson Jr., who had nine points and four rebounds in the first half before fouls derailed his night. He finished with 11 points.
“His ceiling is really high,” Moore said of Jackson Jr. “The sky is the limit for him. I see it day by day. I see him do things that nobody can do. It’s really starting to come together for him.”
The top college programs appear to agree, and are lining up for Jackson Jr.’s commitment. He’s already received scholarship offers from Indiana and Butler, though there’s still plenty of time for the elder Jackson’s alma mater, Georgetown, to get involved.
