Elite hoopers like Jayson Tatum (left) and Jaylen Brown (right) dish on which skill they’d love to unwrap for Christmas.

As much as they love to “live” out their fantasies of dominating in the league on NBA 2K and as sick as the graphics are on the PlayStation 4, elite high school basketball players say they would trade it all in, come Christmas morning, if they had the option of opening up the one skill that would complete their game.

What skills are those?

Here’s what they said.

Jair Bolden, Westtown School (West Chester, Pa.), 2016, PG

College: Undecided

The skill I would love to unwrap on Christmas morning would have to be… “My bounce. I just feel like it would take my game to a whole other level and I think that it would get my teammates going more.”

Dennis Smith Jr., Trinity Christian School (Fayetteville, N.C.), 2016, PG

College: Undecided

The skill I would love to unwrap on Christmas morning would have to be… “Well, it’s not a skill, but I would love to unwrap a little more height. Me at 6-5… That would be crazy!”

Jayson Tatum, Chaminade College Prep (St. Louis), 2016, F

College: Undecided

The skill I would love to unwrap on Christmas morning would have to be… “Leaping ability! I would definitely love to be one of those guys that can do any type of dunk. I’m not known for my jumping ability. I mean I can catch a few bodies, but I’m just not out there jumping from the free-throw line.”

Alterique Gilbert, Miller Grove (Lithonia, Ga.), 2016, PG

College: Undecided

The skill I would love to unwrap on Christmas morning would have to be… “Perfect shooting form because sometimes I tend to fade a little, which throws my shot off balance. I’m trying to be a great shooter!”

Jaylen Brown, Wheeler (Marietta, Ga.), 2015, SF

College: Undecided

The skill I would love to unwrap on Christmas morning would have to be… “Three more inches on my height; 6-10 would be a whole ‘nother problem!”

Allonzo Tyson, Trinity Christian School (Fayetteville, N.C.), 2015, F

College: Undecided

The skill I would love to unwrap on Christmas morning would have to be… “My outside game; definitely my three-point game because threes count a lot in a game, especially if you’re trying to get the lead.”

Demetrius Troy, Word of God Christian Academy (Raleigh, N.C.), 2015, PG

College: UNC Greensboro

The skill I would love to unwrap on Christmas morning would have to be… “Probably, just being more athletic. Because I already can score the ball and facilitate very easily so being more athletic would make it even easier to be dominant on the floor.”
