The Roncalli boys basketball team jumped out to an early 19-8 lead after the first quarter en route to a 71-45 victory over host Reedsville on Saturday.

Josh Erickson paced the Jets with a game-high 18 points while teammate Jared Patek was also in double figures with 11.

For the Panthers, Bryce Wenzel’s team-high 11 led the way.

The host Vikings got a team-high 22 points from Forrest Fenlon in the win.

Fenlon was one of three players for Valders who reached double digits along with teammates Thomas Schwoerer (13) and Trenton Sundsmo (12).

The Vikings held a narrow 10-8 advantage after the first quarter but led 49-33 entering the fourth and withstood a late Zephyrs rally.
