Johnson was in Charlotte to talk to the Patriots about the importance of hydrating yourself.

CHARLOTTE, N.C. – If you were to walk the fields of any sports stadium in America you would find empty Gatorade cups in the trash. With weather reaching the mid-90’s in Charlotte this week, hydration is the most important thing to a coach.

Chris Leak, Mohamed Massaquoi, Joe Cox, Hakeem Nicks and even Miss USA 2005, Chelsea Cooley have walked the halls of Independence High School.

Coach Joe Evans brought in one more winner, well, more like six-time-winner, Jimmie Johnson to speak to his football team.

Johnson was in Charlotte to talk to the Patriots about the importance of hydrating yourself.

Johnson says, “I lose about 2-3 pounds” every race from fluids so drinking Gatorade is “vitally important”.

He even caught a few passes and ran a few routes after he talked to the team.
