Joe Namath's eye-catching coat: Fashion forward or fashion flop?

Still styling after all these years?

Broadway Joe Namath, hero of the New York Jets’ 1969 “guaranteed” victory in Super Bowl III, showed up for the coin toss in Sunday’s big game at MetLife Stadium sporting a fur coat similar to the one he wore on the Jets bench in the early 1970s while recovering from an injury.

Known for his white shoes, long hair, Fu Manchu mustache, bell bottom pants and panty hose commercial back in the day, Namath apparently still enjoys a bit of sartorial splendor.

The Journal News wants to know what you think. Vote in our online poll.

When New York sports legend Joe Namath wears a fur coat is he just being old school, or should Namath hang the fur up next to his cleats and knee braces?
