JUST MISSED LIST

Usually, filling out the final one or two spots on the Dandy Dozen comes down to five or six players. With that in mind, here’s a look at five standouts who just missed this year’s cut.

LEROY BUCHANAN, G, MADISON CENTRAL

The senior played a key role in helping the Jaguars reach the Class 6A semifinals last season, averaging 14.3 points, 6.3 rebounds and 3.2 steals per game. Buchanan has a solid jumpshot and is a strong defender.

DEVIN GILMORE, F, MRA

The 6-foot-6 forward helped the Patriots capture an MAIS overall championship last season by averaging a double-double (23 points, 10 rebounds). Gilmore is extremely athletic with the ability to finish strong around the rim.

CHARLES JACKSON, G/F, EAST SIDE

Jackson was a strong inside presence last season and led the Trojans to the Class 3A title game. As a junior, the wing averaged 13.2 points, 7 rebounds and 3.4 steals per game.

TRAY LAWSON, G/F, BRANDON

Lawson averaged 12.5 points, 7.9 rebounds and 2.6 assists per game for the Bulldogs last season.

BRANDON ‘B.J.’ MILLER, G, MERIDIAN

The point guard exhibits strong ball-handling skills and excells in the transition game. Miller is able to draw contact when driving the lane and finishes effectively at the basket.
