Bethany DeValk’s sacrifice fly in the bottom of the ninth inning scored Amanda Diedrich as Kaukauna beat Kimberly 2-1 in a Fox Valley Association game Thursday in Kaukauna.
Freshman Haley Hestekin pitched a two-hitter for the Ghosts (1-1). She struck out 15 and walked two.
“Two great teams. It was fun to watch,” Kaukauna coach Tim Roehrig said. “You’re not going to find much better than that.”
Jenna Smarzinski led off the game with a home run for Kimberly’s only run.

At Neenah, Brianna Frost scattered eight hits and struck out seven in getting the complete-game victory for the Rockets.
Frost also had two hits, including a triple, and drove in three runs for Neenah (2-3, 1-1), which stole six bases. Julia Rhodes had two hits, including a double, for Menasha.

At Appleton, Oshkosh West raced to a 7-0 lead after three innings in getting the six-inning victory over the Terrors.
Jamie Holsten got the win, striking out seven over three innings. Meg Krautsch had three hits, including two doubles, and also drove in four runs for the Wildcats.

SMC pitcher Katelyn Gullickson had a no-hitter through four innings before Reedsville got the bats going.

At Chilton, Celine Diedrick threw a perfect game for the Tigers.
Diedrick struck out 10 in the game that ended after five innings. She also went 3-for-3 at the plate with three runs scored and three RBI.
The Tigers’ Claire Stiefvater went 3-for-4 with three RBI.

At Wrightstown, Carlie Servais went 5-for-5 with five RBI, Brooke Linzmeier went 5-for-5 with four RBI and Sage Tanck went 3-for-3 with three RBI as Wrightstown (2-0, 2-0) won in five innings.
Hortonville 10, New London 6
At New London, Lexy Campshure had a three-run home run in the top of the ninth to help the Polar Bears get the win in extra frames.
Sammi Sullivan got the win. Jordyn Brennan, Caitlin Hoerning, Campshure and Heidi Huebner each had three hits for Hortonville.
Payton Mix led New London with four hits.

At De Pere, after Seymour (0-2, 0-2) built its lead to 3-0 with a solo home run by Erin Blohm in the second inning, the Phantoms (2-1, 2-0) plated nine runs in the bottom of the frame.
Blohm, Ashley Geurts and Taylor Matuszak each had two hits and combined for four RBI for the Thunder.
Shiocton 14, Weyauwega-Fremont 4
At Shiocton, Whitney Schmidt went 4-for-5 with a pair of doubles and drove in six runs to power Shiocton.
Kiana Williamson also homered for the Chiefs. Karissa Akey hit a home run for Weyauwega-Fremont.
