One of the great new features on Kens 5’s high school sports site is the Massey High School Score Predictor. This interactive game simulator, named after sports statistician Ken Massey, lets you choose any two varsity teams in the nation and pit them against each other. Using statistics from past seasons, you can find out which team would win a certain matchup before the game is played.
Try it yourself here.
KENS 5 will pick five featured high school football games every Friday and use the score predictor to see what the outcome might be. Then we can look back after the weekend and compare the results.
Here are this week’s predictions:
Brandeis 35 vs. Clark 6 (Farris Stadium)
Antonian 30 vs. San Antonio Christian 12 (Lion Pride Stadium)
Brennan 41 vs. Stevens 7 (Gustafson Stadium)
Burbank 21 vs. Harlandale 34 (Harlandale Memorial Stadium)

Week 10 Results:
Brandeis 48 vs. Clark 31 (Farris Stadium)
Antonian 17 vs. San Antonio Christian 14 (Lion Pride Stadium)
Brennan 55 vs. Stevens 14 (Gustafson Stadium)
Burbank 27 vs. Harlandale 28 (Harlandale Memorial Stadium)

The Massey score predictor was a perfect 5-0 this week. The most impressive call was the Brennan vs. Stevens game, where the Bears were predicted to win by 34 but instead won by 40. Some believed the Falcons would put up a better fight than what was estimated. However, Brennan lead early on and never let up. The Burbank vs. Harladnale games was the closest in terms of total points predicted. Massey said the teams would combine to score 55 points, which the Indians and Bulldogs did, but with Burbank scoring six more points and Harlandale scoring six less. In total, Massey is 35-5 for the season.
