CHARLOTTE, N.C. — In the final game of the evening at Ardrey Kell High School on Friday, December, 12 it was the Knights that walked away as victors over the West Meck Hawks. In a game that saw back and forth scoring, it was the Knights defense in the second quarter that won the game.
After trailing 15-12 going into the second quarter, coach Michael Craft turned up the pressure on defense and limited the Hawks to only seven points in the quarter to take a 29-22 lead at recess.
Ardrey Kell would outscore the Hawks by four after the half to take an 11 point victory over the West Meck Hawks. The Knights now sport a 7-1 record as they travel to Olympic for another conference battle on Tuesday.
Olympic sits at 6-0 after a 12 point victory over Providence.
