Laconia 9-8, Johnson Creek 2-2: The Spartans’ offense came alive in a doubleheader sweep of the Blue Jays.

Keegan Madigan picked up the win in game one, going all seven innings, allowing eight hits and two walks while striking out six. Matt Norton had the game two win, striking out eight against two walks as he had a no-hitter through 523 innings.

Adam Rosenau went a combined 5-for-9 with a double and five RBIs, while Madigan went 5-for-8 with a double and two RBIs. Jacob Redeker added six hits in the win with a triple and two RBIs.

“In my opinion it was the best offensive games that we have played all year, which is great,” Laconia head coach Greg Smit said. “Hopefully we can continue it because we have a busy week coming up.”
