Lakeland volleyball played in one last tournament before heading into the postseason.
The Eagles took part in a loaded field at the Bedford Invite and went on an impressive run.
Lakeland recorded wins against KLAA Association champion Novi, Grosse Pointe South and Clarkston before the run came to an end with a loss to Romeo in the semifinals.
The Eagles were scheduled to open district play against host Walled Lake Northern. The winner advances to Friday’s 7 p.m. district final against the winner between West Bloomfield and Walled Lake Central.
“The team is focusing on the postseason and pushing to get better each day,” coach Jean Dukic said.
