* WEST HIGH: The Trojans scored 269½ points and finished 15th at the Cheesehead Tournament on Friday and Saturday in Kaukana, Wis.

Montini Catholic won with 554½ points.

Chris Walters (25-1) led West with third place at 126 pounds. Donovan Doyle was sixth place at 182, Micah Kelsay was seventh at 195, Jackson Voigt was seventh at 170, and Aydan Wynos was ninth at heavyweight.

Boys basketball

* WASHINGTON 56, IMS 51: Iowa Mennonite School suffered its first loss of the season Saturday in Washington.

The Demons led 48-38 with four minutes left to play, and IMS cut the deficit to 50-49 with a little more than a minute left. But Washington held on for the win.

Down 54-51 with 10 seconds remaining, Dallas Nye narrowly missed on a three for the tie, and the Demons added one more score for the win.

Nye led IMS with 19 points, Zach Hill had 12 points and six rebounds, Reggie Hostetler had 11 points, and Eli Gingerich had five assists.

IMS fell to 6-1.

Girls basketball

* PEKIN 45, HIGHLAND 43: Cheyann Adamson had 20 points and nine steals to lead the Huskies in a loss Saturday in Pekin.

The Panthers led 32-25 after an 11-5 third-quarter run, and Highland couldn’t come back.

Kelsey Hora had eight points, Bridget Murphy had six points, and Chelsey Lampe had five points, eight rebounds and six assists.

Highland is 5-3 overall and 4-3 in the Southeast Iowa Super Conference.
