Lead Hill rallies past Flippin in JV boys' game

The Lead Hill Junior Varsity Tigers rallied from a 15-point second-half deficit to claim a 46-45 victory over the Flippin Junior Varsity Bobcats on Tuesday night at Bobcat Country.

Lead Hill scored the game’s first four points before Flippin went on an 11-3 run to take an 11-7 lead. The host squad led 13-7 after one quarter.

The JV Bobcats led 22-14 at the halftime break and led by as much as 31-16 in the third quarter before taking a 38-29 lead going into the fourth.

Lead Hill battled within 42-41 with 4:59 left to play, but Flippin went up 45-41 after 1 of 2 free throws by Jakeb Tate. Lead Hill hit the go-ahead 3-pointer with 1:06 remaining, and Flippin’s last shot rimmed out just before the buzzer.

Leland Campbell scored 11 points to lead the JV Bobcats, while Tate added nine, Austin Lack scored eight, Trevor Rainbolt notched six, Travis Brundige tallied four, Hunter Harp had three, and Tristan Moore and Jacob Moore chipped in two apiece.
