The SUNY New Paltz men’s volleyball team completed the Roadrunner Invitational with a 4-0 record in Mahwah, N.J., on Sunday.
The Hawks opened the day with a 25-17, 25-18, 25-15 win over Stevenson, receiving 16 kills from Tim Ferriter and a combined 38 assists from Christian Smith and John Lutjen.
New Paltz closed out the tournament with a 25-21, 25-22, 25-22 victory over Ramapo.
Ahjon Petty had 17 kills and Andrew Balint had 27 assists for the Hawks.
Late Saturday, New Paltz defeated Brooklyn 25-15, 25-12, 25-15 behind Lutien’s eight kills and 15 assists. Smith added 18 assists.
Also on Saturday, the Hawks beat CCNY 25-12, 25-15, 25-17. Lutien had seven kills and 11 assists.
Tanisha Coleman finished with 27 points and 13 rebounds for host Dutchess Community College in a 64-60 Region XV loss to LaGuardia.
The Falcons (5-9) play Tuesday at Queensborough.
Nick DiMarco’s second goal of the season proved to be the game winner as John Jay tipped Orange County West 6-5 at the Mid-Hudson Civic Center late Saturday.
Michael Valentine netted three goals, and Nick Shepheard and Robert Clerc each added a goal and assist for the Patriots (13-7-1). James Jakuba assisted on four goals, and Vincent Valentine stopped 14 shots in goal.
Upton Lake defeated Oakwood Friends 63-23 behind 18 points apiece from Sam Clark and Mackenzie Dunlop late Saturday.
Matt Distler sprinted to wins in the 50- and 100-yard freestyles for New Paltz in a 113-87 SUNY Athletic Conference loss to host Oneonta late Saturday.
Chelsea Allocco and Cassidy Griger each won two individual events for New Paltz in a 110-95 SUNYAC triumph over Oneonta late Saturday.
Hyde Park’s Samantha Granan took first place in the 200 individual medley (2:17.68) for the Hawks.

Poughkeepsie’s Scott Colello won the long jump and placed second in the high jump to lead Mount Saint Mary at the Wesleyan Invitational II late Saturday.
Freshman Mateusz Prusaczyk set a school record in the high jump with his winning leap of 1.78 meters for the Blue Knights.
