Denny Crum is returning to coaching, at least for a day.
The legendary University of Louisville coach will take one sideline, with former Cardinal and current Indiana University Southeast coach Wiley Brown the other for Providence High School’s Blue-White Scrimmage.
So, why Crum and Brown?
The Pioneers in July hired 2007 graduate Andrew Grantz at age 25 to succeed Lou LeFevre, who went 175-52 in his 10 season before moving on to lead Tipton. Grantz coached as an assistant at Pittsburg State University in Kansas and IU Southeast on Brown’s staff before accepting his new position.
Months later, he’ll have Crum, a 20th-year member of the Hall of Fame, offering advice on his team.
