Louisville offers Christ Presbyterian guard after King of the Bluegrass win

Eighth-grader Tyger Campbell scored 25 of his 29 points in the second half to lead Nashville’s Christ Presbyterian over Hopkinsville in a first-round game Saturday at the King of the Bluegrass.

The 5-foot-11 guard made eight of his nine shots in the second half for the Lions. Jalen Johnson led the Tigers with 19.

Afterward, the University of Louisville offered a scholarship to Christ Presbyterian guard Braxton Blackwell, according to the player and coaches’ Twitter accounts.

“Got the win on to the next one #L1C4 #blessed,” Blackwell wrote after tallying 22 points.
