Loyola rolls past Calvary

The Loyola Flyers placed four players in double figures, led by Dominique Kennedy with 23 points, as they easily dispatched the Calvary Cavaliers, 74-48, in nondistrict action Friday night at Loyola.

Drekaleus Williams fired in 15 points as Loyola got its 12th victory of the season against five defeats. Eldrick English dropped in 14 points and Logan Robertson added 10 for the Flyers.

Shea Patterson continued his hot shooting for Calvary, scoring 21 points in defeat, while teammate Garrett Kochikian added 16 points for the Cavaliers.

Haughton 70, Lakeside 61: At Lakeside, Javonte Woodard led all scorers with 24 points as the Buccaneers got a hard-fought road win over the Warriors.

PJ Douglas added 19 points as Haughton improved to 6-8.

Maurice Moore led Lakeside (3-11) with 19 points while teammates Davian Whiting and Jamairon Teal had 11 each.

Ringgold 69, Stanley 41: At Ringgold, DeAndre Williams scored 24 points and DeAndre Scott added 15 as the Redskins trounced the Panthers.

Alize Elam led all scorers with 29 points in defeat for Stanley.


Woodlawn 70, BTW 45: At Woodlawn, the Lady Knights got 23 points from Amber Cook in dismantling the Lady Lions.

Haggar Caldwell added 14 points as Woodlawn improved to 6-5 on the season.

Kadesha Gay scored 17 points to lead Booker T. Washington.

Minden 80, Calvary 56: At Minden, the Lady Tiders erupted for 27 first quarter points and never looked back in routing the Lady Cavs.

Ja’Courtney Neloms fired in 32 points while Antavia Sterling and Tiaga Pugh added 16 each as Minden improved to 10-5.

Margo Pleze led Calvary with 21 points while Kennedi Heard and Justice Fagans had 12 apiece for the Lady Cavs.

West Monroe 54, Airline 36: At West Monroe, Abby Lee scored 18 points as the Lady Rebels built a 42-18 lead and toppled the Lady Vikings.

Samarius Colquitt added 10 points as West Monroe went to 18-3 on the season.

Hannah Brewster led all scorers for Airline with 11 points as the Lady Vikings fell to 8-9.

Ouachita 45, Southwood 42: At Southwood, the Lady Lions outscored the Lady Cowboys 20-9 in the fourth quarter to get the win. Senior guard Daja Chase led Ouachita (18-2) with 16 points. Southwood (12-5) got a game high 19 points from Chelsea Tieuel.

Natchitoches Central 62, Northwest 48: At Natchitoches, the Lady Chiefs built a 28-13 halftime lead and cruised past the Lady Raiders.

Princess Cohen and Gabriella Cortez scored 21 points apiece as Natchitoches Central improved to 14-4.

Alexia Rubin led Northwest with 15 points.

North Caddo 60, Madison 17: The Lady Rebels (17-1) made the three-hour trip to Madison worthwhile with an easy victory behind a trio of double-digit scorers. Jasmine Thomas led the way with 16, followed by Ledetriha Shephard with 15 and Sumer Williams with 14. Zaterrica Williams led the way for Madison (9-9) with 8 points.

Stanley 55, Ringgold 29: At Ringgold, the Lady Panthers remained unbeaten, holding the Lady Skins without a point in the first quarter en route to their 25th victory of the season.

Sara Housley scored 14 points and Breanna Holloway added 12 for Stanley, while LaDarasha Woods had 12 for Ringgold.
