Tim Azzolini drove in a run and scored twice as the Madison baseball team defeated Newark Academy 7-4 on Sunday.

Gavin Wallace had two RBI for the Dodgers (1-1). Brian Chinni had an RBI and scored a run. Pitcher Ryan Higgins allowed three runs on four hits, walked three and struck out four in six innings to pick up his first win of the season.

St. Joseph (Mont.) 2, Kinnelon 0: Catcher Ross Halkias went 2-for-3 for the Colts on Saturday.

Softball

Jefferson 9, Hackettstown 2: Amanda Delfino went 3-for-5 with two runs and two RBI for the Falcons (3-0) on Saturday. Bryanna Celentano had a home run and two RBI. Caitlyn Dougherty went 3-for-5 with a double, one RBI and one run scored. Pitcher Isabel Seise allowed two runs on five hits, walked three and struck out four. Val Vukanic hit a two-run homer for the Tigers (0-3).

Boys lacrosse

Mountain Lakes 9, Glen Ridge 6: Christian Cuccinello had four goals and two assists for the Lakers (4-1) on Saturday. Zander Kotsen had two goals and one assist. Paul Kimmelman and Kevin Beimfohr combined for five saves.

Livingston 14, Morris Hills 5: Zach Berkowitz had two goals and one assist for the Scarlet Knights (2-3) on Saturday. Anthony D’Amico had one goal and one assist.

Morris Knolls 13, North Warren 5: Reed Pelliconi had a hat trick and four assists for the Golden Eagles (4-1) on Saturday. Sean Statlander had a hat trick. Andrew Yenesel had two goals and two assists. Kyle Lyons scored twice for the Patriots (2-3).

Randolph 8, West Windsor North 2: J.P. Southren and Jake Southren each had two goals and two assists for the Rams (3-1) on Saturday. Mike Turner had one goal and one assist. Goalie Matthew Carle made 10 saves.

Morristown-Beard 21, West Orange 1: Teddy Hatfield had seven goals and four assists for the Crimson (5-0) on Saturday. Chris Glancy had a hat trick and two assists. Trevor Baptiste and John McDonald each had a hat trick and one assist.

Girls lacrosse

West Milford 9, St. Elizabeth 2: Julia Darcy scored twice for the Panthers (0-5) on Saturday.

Pascack Valley 11, Roxbury 8: Amanda Beal scored four goals for the Gaels (1-3) on Saturday.
