Grosse Pointe Woods University Liggett 12-16, Harper Woods 0-0: In Game 1, Matt Gushae had nine strikeouts while only giving up two hits for Liggett (15-6) and Anthony Simon was 4-for-4 with two doubles and four RBIs.In Game 2, Teddy Wujek threw a complete game while striking out six for Liggett and Connor McCarron was 3-for-3 with two RBIs.

Harrison Twp. L’Anse Creuse 2, Macomb Twp. L’Anse Creuse North 1: Adam Redoute stole home in the bottom of the eighth to win the game in extra innings for L’Anse Creuse (19-12). Dan Bailey threw eight innings with five strikeouts, no walks and only four hits. Paul Moniaffare threw six innings with eight strikeouts, two hits and one earned run for North (15-14).

Hazel Park 9, Melvindale AB&T 4: PitcherTyler Rix had 11 strikeouts for Hazel Park (8-10). Melvindale ABT is now 11-9.

Sterling Heights Stevenson 12, Grosse Pointe North 6: Joe Wolf pitched three innings without giving up a hit for Stevenson (26-1). Zack McGuire was 3-for-5 with a home run and three RBIs and Jake Rogers was 3-for-5 with a double and two RBIs. North is now (18-12).

Girls soccer

Birmingham Roeper 2, Southfield Christian 0: Francesca Bennett and Sophia Savas each scored for Roeper (3-10). Alyssa Flynn had 10 saves in the shutout.

New Baltimore Anchor Bay 4, Romeo 0: Sydney Rekar scored two goals and an assist for Anchor Bay (10-2-3, 9-1-2 MAC White) and Whitney Fleming and Rachel Russo each added one goal. Anchor Bay clinches a share of the MAC White title. Romeo is now (1-12-2, 0-9-1 MAC White).

Girls lacrosse

Bloomfield Hills Cranbrook -Kingswood 21, Warren Woods Regina 1: Tara Chelios scored five goals and five assists for Cranbrook (9-4) and Leah Israel added four goals and four assists.

Boys golf

Dearborn 160, Dearborn Edsel Ford 171: At Inkster Valley Golf Course, David Carlson shot a 49 for Dearborn (6-0 WWAC). Edsel Ford is now 7-1 WWAC.

Track and field

Boys: Walled Lake Western 103 (5-0), Waterford Kettering 34 (0-5): Jon Simmons won the 100-meter at 11.01 seconds for Western. Austin Murray won the 1,600 meters with a time of 4 minutes, 47 seconds; he was also on the winning 3,200-relay.

Girls: Walled Lake Western 91 (1-4), Waterford Kettering 46 (0-5): Kirin Tate was first in the long jump, 200-meter, took second in the 400-meter and was on the winning 1,600-meter relay. Sydney Clark was on the winning 3,200 relay and also first in the 3,200-meter with a time of 14:50.9.
