Mayville Tournament: The Cardinals went 3-0 Saturday, beating Pewaukee, Hartford and Brookfield East.

In the first game, Mayville’s Claire Luedtke had a game-winning RBI-double in the bottom of the ninth to give the Cardinals a 5-4 win. Then in game two, the Cardinals scored three runs — all on Hartford errors — in the bottom of the sixth to give them a 3-2 win. In the final game, the Cardinals cruised to a 7-0 win.

“The girls played well and the Hartford game was a quality win for us, they are a good team,” Mayville head coach Marv Youngbeck said. “Pewaukee is another team so that was a good win.”

Libby Schellpeffer picked up the win in relief in game one and then went all seven in the second game. Kira Krueger picked up the win in game three, striking out seven in all seven innings.
