Monday night's roundup: Lady Tigers rout Eagles in non-district game


Junior Claudia Smith scored a game-high 20 points to lead Central Magnet to a 54-22 win over Eagleville on Monday night in Eagleville.

Kylea Carver added 10 for the Lady Tigers, who host Smith County at 6 p.m. Tuesday in a District 8-AA contest.

Kristin Barnes led Eagleville with eight points. The Lady Eagles play at 6 p.m. Thursday at McEwen.



Smyrna 73, Siegel 64: John Turner scored 22 points and Myles Kumrow had 21 to lead the Bulldogs (7-3). Donovan Whitmore and brother Denilson Whitmore had 14 each to lead the Stars.



Stewarts Creek 60, Central Magnet 18: Morgan McCrary and Brinae Alexander each scored 13 to pace Creek. Annabelle Skidmore led Central Magnet with 11.

Christiana 52, Smyrna 11: Twin sisters Alexis Whittington and Amanda Whittington each scored 13 to lead the Lady Cougars (15-0) to the rout. Makia Drew and Makayla Kelly each scored four for Smyrna.

Siegel 35, Rockvale 33: Taylor Patterson’s buzzer beater gave the Lady Cavaliers the win. Olivia Perry led Siegel with 11.

Whitworth-Buchanan 34, Oakland 28: The Yellow Jackets’ Leah Johnson scored 22 points to lead all scorers. Kayci Howard scored nine to lead Oakland. Teammate Gracie Kirby added eight.

LCA 47, Dickson Co. Middle 33: Madeline Greenwood led all scorers with 19 points for LCA. Alli Mayeux had 12.

Junior Varsity

Stewarts Creek 51, Central Magnet 11: Abby Harper and Jasmine Davis scored 10 each for Creek. Carolyn Peay led Central with four.


Christiana 55, Smryna 25: Jarek Campbell scored 12 and Timmy Goodrich had 11 to lead the Cougars (10-4). LaDarius Dixon scored eight to pace Smyrna.

Rockvale 49, Siegel 46: Gabriel Martin and Graham Hatcher had 13 each to lead the Ravens (7-6). Marcellis Martin led Siegel with a game-high 21 points.

Whitworth-Buchanan 44, Oakland Middle 41: A.J. Pollard scored 16 to lead the Yellow Jackets (8-3) to the win. Robjay Bush added 10. Oakland’s Dre Litaker led all scorers with 19. Marcus Hardy had 10.

MTCS 34, Friendship 28: Nate Howell scored 13 points to lead MTCS in the win.
