Freshman Claire Myers scored twice to lead Fairport to a 2-1 victory over Penfield in a Monroe County girls soccer match on Monday.
Myers took the ball at midfield, got past two defenders and tucked the ball inside the left post 14 minutes into the second half.
Myers scored off an assist from Caitlin Bossarte in the 12th minute to give the Red Raiders (9-3-2) a 1-0.
Charity Warner responded three minutes later to tie it at 1 for Penfield (4-8-2).
Eighth-grader Clare Mulholland made 13 saves in the win.
