MOORESVILLE, N.C. – Hickory High School made the trip to Mooresville for their week 4 match-up against the Mooresville Blue Devils. Give credit to the Red Tornados for showing up, but that is all they had going for them on Friday night.

From the opening kick it was all Mooresville. Kicker Harris Gerwitz hit a perfect ball as it bounced 10 yards into a diving Mooresville player’s hands.

Senior quarterback Tommy Bulock and running back Akease Rankin took control early marching 45 yards for an opening drive touchdown.

A few pass plays later quarterback Tommy Bulock found wide-out Dallas Jackson, who made a few men miss as he scampered 40 yards down to the Hickory 10 yard-line.

Two plays later Tommy Bulock kept the ball on the read-option and plowed his way into the endzone.

The game was later called due to severe weather, Mooresville won the game 42-0.
