Newark Generals hockey finishes 2-1 in Oxford

Patrick Chaykowski’s overtime goal Sunday gave the Generals a 4-3 victory against the Cincinnati Swords and a 2-1 finish in Oxford.

Also scoring in the victory were Tyler Schroeder, Cody Baldwin and Levi Beckholt. Schroeder and Drew Ross each added an assist, and Charlie Smart and Dustin Bargo combined for 16 saves.

Chaykowski scored twice in a 6-3 victory against Talawanda on Saturday. Other scorers were Schroeder, Chase Cherubini, Baldwin and Cobe Needham, and William Danby had a team-high three assists. Bargo had 23 saves.

Bargo had 20 saves in a 1-0 loss to Cincinnati on Friday.
