(NEWS CENTER)– NEWS CENTER has learned that Marc Sawyer, the Athletic Director at Westbrook High School, has told officials he will resign after the school year is over. Sawyer, who took over as the A.D. in July of 2012, is a Westbrook High School alum. There has been a lot of controversy surrounding school officials in Westbrook since the fall, when some student/athletes were suspended for attending a party where there was alcohol, and then the suspensions were lifted for some of the student/athletes in time to take part in playoff sporting events.
