SUNBURY – Northmor won the Big Walnut Classic wrestling tournament on Saturday in Sunbury. Galion was seventh among other north central Ohio participants.
The Golden Knights finished with 263.5 points, followed by Springfield Shanwee at 173.5, Cambridge (154), Tiffin Columbian, Big Walnut and Licking Heights (both at 134), Galion (118), Paint Valley (94.5) and Bloom Carroll (88.5).
Northmor’s top finishers included champion Conan Becker (120) who had four pins to win his division, including topping teammate Aaron Kitts in the finals. Mattew Ross (132) also pinned all four foes, while Kyle Johnson won the 195-pound crown.
Runner-up finishers in addition to Kitts were Griffin Jenkins (126), Jake Farley (138), Sam Neer (145) and Lane Foster (220).
Third-place finishers were Jake Neer (106), D.J. Christo (160), while fourth-place placers were Wyatt Collier (113), Ben Singer (182).
