The Iowa Mennonite School boys basketball team is 17-4 heading into the postseason, which begins this week.

Senior Dallas Nye has contributed to a large part of that success, and he hopes IMS can peak at the right time. The basketball and baseball player is this week’s Hot Shot.

If I could visit any place in the world, it would be: Hawaii.

My nickname is: D-Nye

My biggest asset to the team is: Playing for all four years, so I have games under my belt.

My most prized possession is: My shoe collection.

My superstitions are: I stretch, pray and repeat a Bible verse four times in my head before games.

Best sports experience: Playing at state my freshman and sophomore years.

In 10 years I want to be: Teaching and coaching somewhere or starting a business.

A celebrity I resemble is: Iowa basketball player Aaron White.

Craziest ambition: To invent something awesome.

My team/personal goals for the season are: Having as much fun as possible.

I can’t imagine going a week without: My mom’s cooking.
