With the hoops offseason in full effect, ballers around the country have begun what is widely regarded as one of the most grueling grind modes of the year as they play train before and after school in preparation for the up-and-coming season.
Every week we’ll profile an elite player or elite trainer and have them dish on one of their most unorthodox training methods and explain why it’s been so beneficial.

THE DRILL: Dancing to J. Cole
THE HOW-TO: “Well, while I’m working out I just have to do a lil dance in between my drills. It’s kinda my thing; I’ll just be thinking about different J. Cole songs and I just start dancing a lil bit. So while I’m waiting to start my next routine or in between drills I get that in.”
THE PAY OFF: “I think the biggest benefit is that it keeps me loose during my workout; and that keeps me loose during the games. It’s really important for me to play loose because that’s when I’m playing at my best. Gotta get my dance in!”
