The state high school tennis tournaments are officially moving to Mason.
The Ohio High School Athletic Association’s Board of Directors unanimously (9-0) approved the move of the girls’ and boys’ tournaments starting in fall 2015 to the Lindner Family Tennis Center on Thursday morning.
The Enquirer first reported the move. The Enquirer first reported the recommendation from Commissioner Dr. Dan Ross back in January.
“It’s a beautiful facility,” OHSAA commissioner Dr. Dan Ross told The Enquirer in January. “They are very tickled to have us there.”
The Board finalized the move at its regular board meeting Thursday in Columbus.
The state girls’ tournament is scheduled for this weekend (Friday and Saturday) at Ohio State University. The state boys’ tournament will continue to be at Ohio State in the spring.
