Parkway’s Alexis Rayborn hit her first home run of the season as the Lady Panthers got past the Lady Mustangs 12-6 in District 1-5A action.
Carol Cash cashed in with a perfect 4-for-4 day with a double, while Haydn Parker and Rebecca Lynch both went 2-for-4 efforts. Mirian Trafford posted a 3-for-4 game for Magnet.
Haughton 15, Southwood 5: The Lady Bucs got two home runs from Anna Dies, along with single homers from Lacey Dodson, Savannah O’Neal, Haley Krumpelbeck and Natalie Smith in the win over the Lady Cowboys. Krumpelbeck was 3-for-5 with five RBIs in the game. Nikki Greer had three hits and Autum Greene two for Southwood.
Calvary 17, Lakeview 1: Marissa Reed ran her record to 8-1 with the easy District 1-2A victory for the Lady Cavaliers (22-4, 3-0). Jordan Fielder had a home run with four RBIs, while Reed added a homer for Calvary. Mallory LaLena was 3-for-3, as was Reed and Kenzie Glover had a double.
Evangel 15, Sterlington 0: Emily Deramus posted a 3-for-4 effort, while Carolina Sanchez, Whitney Usie, Shelby Salley and Kayla Calhoun had two hits apiece for the Lady Eagles on senior night on Broadacres Road. Sanchez (14-7) took the win.
North DeSoto 15, Loyola 0: A grand slam by Emily Henderson, along with a home run by E.C. Delafield, lifted the Lady Griffins to the District 1-4A win. Henderson went 3-for-4 with four RBIs, while Katie May had three hits and Bayli Simon two for coach Lori McFerren.
Benton vs. Northwood: District 1-4A game rained out. Will be played on Wednesday.
Airline 13, Minden 3: The Vikings (10-13) poured on four first-inning runs and never trailed in the non-district win at Minden.
Will Goodwin went 2-for-4 with four RBIs while Cameron Taylor (3-for-4) and Peyton Davis (2-for-4) had solid nights. Airline’s Andrew Lowe picked up the win. Minden’s Austin Sumner homered in the loss.
North Webster 10, Summerfield 7
The Knights snap a three-game losing skid with Tuesday’s win. North Webster had lost two to Evangel and one to Calvary.
Cedar Creek 15, Grambling 0
Cedar Creek improves to 5-0 in District 1-1A and will face Haynesville (3-1 in district) on Thursday. The Cougars beat Haynesville 13-0 in the district opener.
