It wasn’t enough for now-former Nebraska football coach Bo Pelini to get fired from his job. He had to bring down another coach in Lincoln almost immediately thereafter.
As reported by the Lincoln Journal Star, a Lincoln North Star staff member was charged $262.50 for allowing Pelini to use the school’s auditorium without going through the traditional booking process.
The unspecified staffer reportedly had a prior relationship with the deposed Nebraska coach, who used the school’s auditorium to say goodbye to his Nebraska players after he was not allowed on premises following his dismissal.
While there weren’t any traditional good news related to Pelini’s last moment appearance at the school, at least the employee can feel safe that he didn’t have to repay the fine all on his own; according to the Journal Star, an online fundraiser generated nearly $400, ensuring that the North Star staffer wouldn’t have to pay any of the fine.
