CONCORD, N.C. — Jay M. Robinson High School hosted Central Cabarrus High School in basketball Monday evening. The Bulldogs proved to have the upper hand against the Vikings, earning four home victories against the visiting Vikings.

In boys varsity action, Robinson dominated from the opening tip. The Bulldogs took a commanding 43-19 lead into the locker room before exploding for 47 more points in the second half. When the dust settled, Robinson walked away with a 90-47 victory.

Every Bulldog scored in the game, led by Lavar Batts, Jr.’s 16 points. Batts also had two thrilling dunks in the first half, making his presence felt early in the contest. Teammate Jackson Raper picked up 15 points in the game, all on three-pointers.

The Bulldogs improved to 3-0 on the young season and appear to be a strong candidate to win the Mecka Conference. Robinson returns home December 3 when they host Cox Mill.
