Hortonville improved to 18-3 on the season with the doubleheader sweep of Waunakee in nonconference baseball action on Saturday at Hortonville.

The Polar Bears won the opener 3-2 before taking the nightcap 16-3 in five innings.

Marshall Stutz got the win in the first game, striking out seven over six innings. Josh Toonen got the save with Parker Thome finishing with two hits.

The Polar Bears erupted for 10 runs in the fourth inning of game two to run away with the victory. Ty Drier was 3-for-3 with a double and 4 RBI and Carter Beaudoin got the win.
